The pressure
On most boilers, the gauge should read between 1 and 2 bar when cold. Below, the boiler stops for safety.
The power and the gas
Is the boiler switched on, the breaker up, the gas valve open, the oil tank not empty?
The fault code
Note the code on the display: it often tells us which part to bring.
Smell of gas? Do not touch any switch, leave, and call the gas emergency number.

After each boiler service you receive the certificate the law requires: keep it, your insurer may ask for it.
Good to know about your heating
- Boilers: a service every year Gas, oil and wood boilers from 4 to 400 kW must be serviced every year, with a certificate handed over within fifteen days.
- No new oil boilers since 2022 Since July 2022, a new oil boiler can no longer be installed. An existing one is still serviced and repaired; we advise you on what can replace it.
